Professor Liu Xueman is the director of the Bethel Hearing and Language Center. Professor Liu focuses on the assessment and rehabilitation of children with speech disorders, and has rich experience in the speech rehabilitation treatment of children with hearing impairment. She was responsible for the establishment of a systematic audio-language division at T2K, including hearing screening, diagnosis, audio-technical intervention, and comprehensive language assessment and treatment, as well as the establishment and leadership of clinical research work between T2K and the University of Texas at Dallas. She also provides continuing reeducation training in the treatment of speech disorders in children throughout the United States and mentors other speech-language therapists and graduate students.

Professor Liu also focuses on the development of diagnostic tools for children's language assessment. The scientific research team led by Professor Liu has also carried out scientific research cooperation with Tianjin Normal University, Shanghai Children's Medical Center and other universities and hospitals for many times.
